An armoured-door lock is a robust lock case integrated into a specific door system. Similar-looking models may have different backsets, centres, bolts, rods and fixings, so they are not automatically interchangeable. The make or reference and every relevant measurement must be identified. Where conversion to a Euro cylinder is technically possible, a compatible cylinder and security escutcheon must also be selected.
